Thunder Girls Represent at Nationals

Westlake Girls Wrestling wins 6A State Title

The Westlake Girls Wrestling team capped off the inaugural season with the 6A State Championship.  Congratulations to Coach Szabo, Coach Burdette and all the girls that made this possible. Westlake Girls Wrestling Win Tournament

Westlaks Girls dominated at the Artemis Battle, which was a girls-only tournament at Telos U in Orem on Saturday, December 7th. Westlake Thunder Upper Weights Clinch Win Against Skyridge

With a final score 39-33, Westlake Thunder rally late for a win against Skyridge. Westlake Athlete of the Week and Thunder Wrestling heavyweight Mason Bodell, pinned his opponent to break the tie and secure the win.

Thunder Varsity Wrestling Wins Dual at Layton

With the final score 37-37, the tie breaker went down to scoring criteria. Both teams had 4 pins but Westlake edged out the Lancers with wins by technical fall (2-1 respectively).
